We are happy to announce our fundraiser to build a new church in the El Coyol community in Nicaragua! We are honored by the opportunity to partner with the people of El Coyol in this important “Kingdom building” work. Set in Motion has already purchased the land for the church and we are now launching a 6-month fundraising campaign to raise $10,000 to complete the construction of the new building.

We need your help. We are asking you to prayerfully consider supporting this kingdom work by making a donation to Set in Motion. With your donation you can make a difference. You can support the gospel of Jesus Christ in Las Quebradas.

Set in Motion is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.

Food Packages

Aurelina Sanchez

Before receiving a Set in Motion Bible + bike package, financial hardship had forced Aurelina’s son and daughter to leave the home while she and her grandchildren went hungry, scrounging for food many days each month. After receiving the bike, her son has been able to return home and use the bike to earn an income for the family.  They are now reunited!

Set in Motion Bike Packages

Designed to meet immediate, mid-range, and long-term needs

To meet immediate needs, we incorporate a food package that will feed a family of four for two weeks, which is about how long it might take for the head of the household to establish a stable job in an agricultural or semi-urban setting if s/he had reliable transportation each day.

This is where the bike comes in! Set in Motion's all-terrain bikes allow adults to secure jobs, children to go to school, families to visit a health clinic and mothers to buy and sell food and products at a market. In other words, bikes boost the livelihood of entire families––allowing each member to access to important places for several years at a time. To extend the lifetime of each bike, we provide a bike lock, pump and a tire repair kit.

Because the Bible teaches that God made man not for this world but for eternity (Ecclesiastes 3:11), we acknowledge man's eternal, spiritual needs. In fact, we see this as the most important element of our ministry! And to meet eternal, spiritual needs, we offer Bibles to every recipient (and as many other people as we can). Each time we give someone a Bible, we talk through the Gospel story and thus explain why and how their new Bible can change their life.
